Team Spirit and Adventure: An Unforgettable Apprentice Trip at HEINZMANN
The apprentices at Heinzmann GmbH & Co. KG in Schönau were recently given the exciting task of brainstorming ideas for a group outing. Through a self-organized survey, the suggestions were evaluated and forwarded to the trainers. They reviewed the feasibility of the ideas and organized an outing that finally took place on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Nine apprentices, four trainers, and the CEO of HEINZMANN, Mr. Markus Gromer, met at the company in the afternoon to travel together to an escape room in Freiburg. Upon arrival, we were divided into four mixed groups. The goal of this grouping was for everyone to get to know each other better. In the various escape rooms, the teams had to demonstrate their creativity and teamwork – which wasn't always easy!
The groups quickly realized how important it is to share ideas. Everyone brings different knowledge and their own approach. Through communication and exchange, the participants' diverse skills were combined to solve the puzzles. Everyone had a lot of fun, and at times it was even quite thrilling and spooky. Each puzzle required different solutions, allowing everyone to contribute something valuable.
After the escape room, we took some photos before moving on – the apprentices were treated to a shared meal. At a restaurant near the university hospitals, there was an opportunity to continue exchanging ideas and deepen connections. At 8:00 PM, we began our journey back to Schönau.
It was an all-around successful outing that everyone enjoyed immensely. It was especially interesting to learn more about the other apprentices and to strengthen the sense of unity.
